About Our Campaigns

The Michigan Network for Children’s Environmental Health is actively involved in statewide campaigns that address children’s environmental health concerns. Through resource mobilization among our members, we engage in advocacy to strengthen environmental health laws and outreach in our communities to increase awareness about environmental toxicants.

OUR KEY CAMPAIGNS:

Support legislation to remove hazardous chemicals from articles and toys made for use by children

Phase out pharmaceutical lindane

Restrict the manufacture and sale of products containing the toxic, persistent flame retardant deca-BDE

Phase out mercury-containing devices

Support the adoption of Green Chemistry
