What's Bromine Doing in My Burger?
Most of us know the importance of a healthy diet. Yet, much of our food is highly processed or tainted by growth hormones, antibiotics, and even toxic chemicals. For instance, many of our Great Lakes fish are contaminated by PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) and mercury, making some fish unsafe for children and pregnant women. During this workshop, we'll explore toxic chemicals in our food system and their health effects. We'll provide tips on how to reduce exposure and you'll leave with fun, easy, and delicious recipes!
Date: Saturday, March 3rd
Time: Conference 8:00-3:30 PM; Workshop 2:05-3:20 PM
